My Top Books of 2019

Hey friends! I’m probably a bit late but, today I’m giving you the four books that stood out to me last year. Every one of the books on this list is one that I have gushed about and pushed towards people to read. These books have made me laugh, swoon, and I love them all with my whole heart.

“I was just a moment, and you gave me a million Junes.
I was just a moment, and you made me forever.”

A Million Junes by Emily Henry – This story gave me magic, a relationship to love, and wonderful writing. I can’t talk enough about how Emily Henry captivated me with this book. It deals heavily with grief and losing someone that is important to you. It also deals with moving on and finding out what you want out of life.

“I’m a Mayson, Gareth Black. I know I’m not adventurous or very outgoing, but I’m still a Mayson.” His brows draw together, and I lift my hand to rub away the lines etched between them. “Family, love, devotion, and determination are what I grew up seeing all around me. I know what’s important.

Until December by Aurora Rose Reynolds – We all know that ARR is one of my favorite romance authors. She gave me a shy teacher and an alpha single dad. December and Gareth stood out to me but also gave that Mayson charm that I love.

“Do moons choose the planets they orbit? Do planets choose their stars? Who am I to deny gravity, Aurora? When you shine brighter than an constellation in the sky?”

Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman – I had ZERO expectations for this book. Me and SciFi? Nope! However, these characters stole my whole heart and I now belong to Squad 312. All I can do is pray that Kristoff and Kaufman keep my babies safe. Also, have you seen the cover for book two with my favorite space elf?

“I don’t simply care for her. I love her. She is my entire life. Without her, I am nothing. I have nothing.”

Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks – I ADORED this book! Once I started reading, I just couldn’t put it down. I loved the plot, the characters, and damn near everything about it. Can I just say that these two were perfect together and also perfect for each other? Because they were.  I wasn’t expecting this sweet and special love story between these two. This book will go down as a historical romance favorite for me.

So those were my top books of 2019. What were some of your favorite books this year?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I haven’t read any of these. Thanks for reminding me about A Million Junes, I remember people talking about it but never ended up adding it to my tbr, now I have! 😁 My favorite read if 2019 was Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. It was so special, yet so “normal”. I hope 2020 brings you more great books 🙂
