Dear Santa,

Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six foot tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it?

Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as-

Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please.

Sincerely,
Holly Winter

MY feelingsI really was expecting so much from this Christmas novella. I mean, did you read that synopsis? I just knew that I was going to get those enemies to lovers vibes along with all things Christmas. While I got all things Christmas, that was about it.

I didn’t really like Holly very much. She made a lot of assumptions about Nick and they were all about nothing serious at all. If this man did something small such as call his mom to tell her he loved her, I feel like she would make that into something terrible about him.

While it sounded like it would have been enemies to lovers, it really wasn’t. Nick never came off as rude or condescending. Just professional and to the point. The enemies standpoint was really on Holly’s side only. The sex scenes were good but the chemistry really wasn’t I thought it would be.

You are probably wondering what did I like. Well, everything else! I loved the town and the atmosphere of it. I loved that all of her sisters had Christmas themed names and their last name was Winter. Seriously, I could get lost in this fictional town alone.

All in all, I was disappointed by this, but I am willing to read the next book about Ginger. She seemed to have some common sense and I want to know what happens between her and a certain hot British baker.2 Star Rating

This was a buddy read with Destiny over at Howling Libraries!

  1. Christmas threw up in this book. It was almost overdone, but I guess the town was cute. So was Nick. I couldn’t stand Holly, though. She was so judgemental and kind of mean. I don’t know if I’ll read the next book. Maybe next year. Great review!
