Twisted Fate (Twisted #1) by Jessi Elliot – ARC Review

33985497Being kidnapped by the leader of the fae really puts a dent in your senior year.

Aurora Marshall is sharp, witty, and always has a plan. Ready to finish her business degree and graduate, her life is going smoothly—until the night she meets Tristan Westbrook.

Tristan, the overbearing, gorgeous fae leader, and an admired businessman in the human world, is all kinds of dangerous. While he finds Aurora intriguing, her refusal to bend to his will keeps them locked in a constant power struggle.

Entering into a deal is the only way to escape Tristan’s clutches, which only plunges Aurora deeper into the fae world. With her future at stake, she is forced to handle his arrogance and extraordinary fae abilities as she fights to stay grounded in her mundane life.

Not to mention her struggle to ignore the growing attraction she knows she shouldn’t feel for the man who kidnapped her.

When people said college would be the most exciting time of her life, Aurora never thought this is what they meant.

4 stars

I received a copy via the author for an honest review.

This was a great debut novel. I couldn’t even tell that this was her first book! A case of mistaken identity leads Aurora to be kidnapped by the fae. This will change her life in ways that she couldn’t see coming!

Aurora was a good heroine. She started off with so much sass that I loved her instantly. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind at all. Especially to Tristan. Tristan was great! He had so many layers to him. He was sweet, he was demanding, and arrogant. He oozed sexiness.

These two together makes me so happy. I loved the dynamic of their relationship. The back and forth between them and the banter had me turning the pages on my kindle at a quick rate. His sexy arrogance and her defiance made for some great foreplay for them!

The secondary characters also made this book. I loved Allison, Skylar, and even Max. I can’t wait to read more about them, maybe get some more backstory on them?

This did not end how I expected! I can’t wait to see how the dynamic is in the next book! If you love fantasy and good romance, then you should definitely read this one!
